The management of layers in organization Project offers a greater control to admin roles and specific behaviors

A- When a member leaves an organisation or a project


In this case, the member's layers are handled as follows:

  • Private layers are deleted
  • Public layers become Shared and are assigned to the first admin of the Project
  • Shared layers are assigned to the first Admin of the Project


B- Accessing members' private layers by Admins


In order to prevent loss of private layers when members leave a project, the admins can access these layers and reassign them to any other member of the project.

These private layers are visible in the layers list of the Score view. 


In order to reassign a layer to another member, one needs to enter annotation mode and select the layer tab (on the right):


By clicking on the "..." button, you can either change the owner of the layer or duplicate the layer.



C- Default privacy settings of layers in a Project


New layers are created as private by default.

However, this default behavior can be modified by admins of a Project in the Settings section as shown below (read more about Project settings here):
