Assigning a group to a Project can be useful in two ways:
- Make it easy to add multiple users to a project at once
- Filter projects (in the Projects list) based on the groups they are assigned to (in much the same way as one uses filtering by tags)
Once you have created Groups of users (read more here), it's very easy to add multiple users to a project at once.
To assign a Group to a project, you just need to:
- Open the project
- Click on the Assign groups button(in the Groups section of the right panel)
3. Select an existing group (or create a new one)
4. Finally, confirm the addition of the members included in the Group.
5. The selected Group tag is assigned to the project and its members are added to the Project
Note: If you choose "not to add" the users, the selected Group tag will still be added to the project. In this case, the only use of the group tag only if for filtering projects in the main Project List.
