When engraving scores, most music publishers optimize page breaks to allow easier page turns – with a 2-page reference in mind! The left page is rarely optimized because musicians are not supposed to turn this page to go to the next one. You might think that, because digital sheet music on iPads is usually displayed one page by one page, you would not be able to use it. However, there are solutions to work around this in Newzik!
Newzik offers the option to display the top half of the next page and the bottom half of the current page at the same time. This will allow you to anticipate difficult page turns. Read more about this feature here.
Double page in landscape orientation
In Newzik, you can choose to display two pages simultaneously via landscape mode. Do keep in mind, though, that this will of course make the music twice as small.
PDF layout edition
Our PDF editing tools allow you to quickly reorder pages to better manage repeat signs, cuts, etc.
Your Newzik account is also accessible on any browser, in Newzik Web: web.newzik.com
This allows you to open your scores on any desktop computer with a larger screen, where you can display your scores in single-page, double-page or even full-screen modes.
